Although I like the colors, this idea doesn't seem interesting enough for that great fabric. I may make a few more blocks to see what develops. If nothing else, I'll have a start on what could be a pretty, small quilt for a baby, and there's more of the fabric for something else.

Interesting! The subtle shades may pop if there were a narrow dark sashing between the blocks.
ReplyDeleteI never would've have thought to put those fabrics together but they look great.
ReplyDeleteI like the blocks of course:0
ReplyDeleteI saw the pinkish part of the fabric and it puts me in mind of a sunrise. Have you thought about some sort of landscape type quilt?
Oh, and I must want summer to be here because it reminds me of ice cream too.
That is interesting fabric all right. I like Libby's idea of a landscape sky...
ReplyDeleteIn my recent home dec craziness I have been looking at what seems like every single piece of fabric I own to see if it fits into my current ideas. I have 2 fabrics such as yours and I just cannot cut into them because I fear I will lose the wonderful gradation effect. I find them very hard to work into projects. So I completely understand.
ReplyDeleteThat is pretty fabric. I love yellow, though it never seems to be popular, I think it's so cheerful.
ReplyDeleteI like your simple blocks. They may grow on you as you make a few more.
yellow and dots and gradations...what's not to love?
