My sister sent me this photo today, one I've never seen before. That's my mother, sometime in the 50's, I'd guess. She's found a fabric treasure, and isn't she happy! I don't recognize the other ladies, and I'm not sure I know the place, but I know the feeling.

This post ranks as one of the best ever!
It's definitely in the genes. I've just inherited my Mum's stash of fabric to add to mine.
What a fab pic! Maybe you can frame it or do something fun with it!
Love that picture!! I agree it is in the genes- the only woman in my entire family it seems to have skipped is my daughter.
I like Deb's idea, frame it. And I bet you could figure a way to work it into a quilt someday :)
Oh that is great!! It looks like some sort of fabric feeding frenzy going on in there...definitely a huge sale. You can scan the photo and tweak it in Photoshop to get some details. I did that with a photo from way back and was able to see the cover of the Saturday Evening Post magazine my mother was reading. I looked up the covers online and was able to figure out the date the photo was taken. It was like stepping into the picture.
Great -- are those gloves in her hand to go with the cute hat? My mom was all about knitting in the 50's (and then needlepoint, and finally quilting in the 80's)
Wonderful photo! Really should do something special with it.
Kay, what a happy happy Mom. Great photo. I love it.
What a great photo! I agree with Debra, you should frame it. Definitely something genetic going on here.
She just looks genuinely pleased-very honest expression of joy! Looks like a busy place too:)
