I Admit This is a Snarky Remark...

I just learned from the new issue of American Quilter that some quilters, (Karen McTavish is the best known) have been tattooed with quilting designs, feathers, patchwork, etc. Did you know that? Do you care? I have nothing against tattoos, but that's not why I bought the magazine. Now I'm wondering why I did buy it.

Are you kidding me? As in a "tramp stamp?" or the person onto the fabric or gee... My head just spun around!

Quilting designs would definitely be good tattoos. I think I missed my window of opportunity for getting a tattoo; not that it would have been a quilting design.

...and Helen's Hints aren't really hints. On the other hand, the couple pages of winning quilts were amazing.

Yup. That's more information than I want from a quilting magazine. I certainly don't read them so I can hear what someone else has put on their body. @@

I haven't read that mag in years, but it seems like a pretty stupid article. I have nothing against tattoos.

I am not sure what you mean... I there a picture of Karen McTavish (Not that I have EVER seen her picture) on someone's skin?

or is she tattooed?

To the second question I would say who cares?

To the first, ON WHO? & WHY?

Hmm...the quilted quilter, huh? If I were to get a tatoo I'd probably chose something with a bit more zip.

I love seeing your Christmas quilts. And of course your kitty too.

Gives new meaning to my title of "The Quilted Craftsman".

I simply can't account for what others do to their bodies-it is their prerogative of course-nor can I account for the state of journalism, even in a quilting magazine. I am actually slightly more concerned about the state of journalism these days. Just enjoy the magazine (if you can).
