The quilting is done, and I thought the beading was, but then I dropped a few red beads in the center to see how they look, because the yellow ones alone aren't enough. Ugh. There will have to be some reworking there. Too bad; I find beading about as interesting as watching paint dry.
I don't do hand quilting because the carpal tunnel in my wrists begins to scream. But just a tiny bit I can handle, and it was fun.

Can you say what you didn't like about the red beads in the middle? Maybe if you intersperse those yellow beads with some different shapes and tones of yellow?
It just looks to me like you need more beads in the middle.
I think you're right about the centers needing red beads, too. It's just a matter of fitting them between the yellow ones, right?
The flower shapes are bold (even moreso with the addition of beads) while the leaves are extremely dainty. Your idea of quilting them in sounded good, but they're so faint and light that they're hardly noticeable enough to make any impact or addition to the composition.
I very much like your modern presentation, or interpretation, of that old classic.
The beads do at a subtle, but lovely touch. Hope you find a way to satisfy yourself with the beads in the middle. I like the way the red and yellow have an organic feel.
